How to Send Google Form Responses to Multiple Emails

Last updated on October 13, 2020

One limitation of Google Forms is that it only allows one email to be sent out to each of your form respondents.

This may be sufficient for some forms, but there are many situations where you need to send out a notification email to more than 1 address.

Sending Multiple Emails

For example, you may wish to send an email to any or all of these recipients:

Form Octo makes this possible with your existing Google Forms.

And, there are 2 different ways you can do this...

1. Delivering The Same Email Template To Multiple Emails

If the content of the email you want to send out to all your recipients is exactly the same, you don't need to setup anything but just 1 template.

All you need to do then is to enter all your intended recipients in the To field of your template while separating the emails with commas. For example, if you wish to send an email to both matt@example.com and adam@example.com, you just need to enter:

matt@example.com,adam@example.com

If your Google Form includes an email field — and let's say it's called Your Email — you can include it as a merge tag inside the To field of your template as well:

matt@example.com,adam@example.com,{{Your Email}}

2. Setting Up Separate Templates For Different Emails

Alternatively, you may wish to send different messages to each of your recipients.

Using Multiple Templates

Form Octo allows you to link unlimited templates to each of your Google Forms. This means that you could, for example, create one template that gets sent out to the respondent, one to your HR department, and another that goes to your Business team every time your Google Form is submitted.
